for the À Fond La Cale festivalThe Festival « À Fond la Cale » presents its 25th edition from 1 to 3 August 2025. As exciting and challenging as ever, the festival is above all UNIQUE with its race of Unidentified Floating Objects (OFNI) and its race of the « joyous whalers of the Saint-Martinade » unique in France! Featuring shows, concerts, street entertainment, a craft market, an apéro-bulots and plenty of other surprises, this carnival of the sea is THE not-to-be-missed event of the holidays à Saint-Martin de Bréhal. The seaside resort sees its streets come alive for 3 days where young and old come to enjoy the festivities with friends or family.

Two races
unusual and joyfulThe festival is an opportunity to have fun, ride the défilé des OFNI and dance facing à the sea! On Sunday, two unusual and joyful races follow one another. The first is the famous course d’Objets Flottants Non Identifiés, a veritable carnival of the sea where participants compete in ingenuity to build a boat and throw themselves into the sea for an improbable race. Last but not least, the famous Saint Martin’s Day whale race sees competitors dressed in whalebones race across the open sea in the hope of winning their weight in mussels! There’s something for everyone at this festival, which is 100% free and completely fun!
