The association “l’ALTERNATEUR 48°N/1°W” based in Donville-les-Bains organizes an innovative and ecological festival with the aim of democratizingcontemporary art and introducing visitors to artists and gardens at the same time. Discover the work of national and international contemporary sculptors working in a variety of materials: wood, metal, stone, resin… This year, 23 internationally renowned artists are invited to 14 private and communal spaces in the communes of Donville-les-Bains, Bréville-sur-Mer, Longueville, Yquelon and Granville for a free, large-scale exhibition. On this occasion, nature lovers and art enthusiasts can enjoy a festive weekend, with live music and gourmet food tastings. A stone and wood symposium will be held in a Longueville garden from Thursday, May 16 to Monday, May 20. The public will be able to follow the genesis of three works live. To protect the environment, the tour can be completed by car, but visitors are invited to walk, cycle or take the bus. All gardens are accessible to people with reduced mobility.
