Granville Carnival

• 6:30pm: Carnival pre-opening show at l’Archipel – bookable for €3
• 8:00pm: Free opening concert – Maison du carnaval

To get tickets for the opening concert, go to the Granville Terre et Mer Tourist Office, 2 rue Lecampion, at 9am on the two Saturdays preceding the event (January 27 and February 3). Beware, this is the only way to get your tickets, and they’re going fast! A maximum of two places will be given out per adult attending these distribution slots.

• From 10:00 am: Carnival market with musical entertainment – Cours Jonville
• 2:00 pm: Handing over of the keys to the town to His Majesty the King of Carnival on the Demoiselles Granville Terre et Mer float – Rond-Point du Calvaire
• 2:15 pm: Departure of the Cavalcade des enfants du Calvaire to the Maison du Carnaval
• 3:30pm: Children’s ball – Maison du Carnaval
  • Free for children, €4 for accompanying adults.
• 6:00 pm: Concert – Podium Cours Jonville
• 8:00 pm: Ça tire, le défilé, costume parade with music – Maison du Carnaval
• From 9:00 pm: Samedi en fanfares – Departure from the podium on Cours Jonville, followed by a fanfare through the town

• 11h00 : Pot des officiels – Maison du Carnaval
• 13h30 : La Grande Cavalcade humoristique et satirique – 3 départ (Port – Casino – rue des Juifs)
• 19h00 : Pique-nique des carnavaliers – Maison du Carnaval
• 21h00 : Cavalcade lumineuse – Départ Cours Jonville

12:00: Carnavaliers and partners potluck – Maison du Carnaval

19:00: Bal à papa -Maison du carnaval

19:00: Bal à maman – Salle de Hérel

No tickets: these balls are reserved for people who have helped organize and parade the Carnaval floats.

• 1:30 p.m.: Humorous and satirical cavalcade – Departure from Calvaire
• 4:30 p.m.: Judgment and execution of His Majesty the King of Carnival – Bassin à flot du Port de Granville
• 6:00 p.m.: Great confetti battle with music – Cours Jonville
• From 8:00 p.m.: Intrigues throughout the town.
