Alexis Jouvin

Alexis Jouvin, 36, has been the new face at the head of the Granville Carnival since 21 June 2024. A Granvillais and carnival-goer since childhood, Alexis made his first cavalcade with his float “Les Grands Gamins” in 2012, after 2 years as a module.

At the meeting

of Alexis

Alexis has been a member of the organising committee since 2013, and joined the board as vice-president in 2016, before taking over as president in 2024.In 2025, the 2026 edition promises to retain the current traditional five-day format, including all the highlights for which Granville Carnival is renowned: the opening concert on Friday, the handing over of the keys, the children’s cavalcade and ball, the grand cavalcade on Sunday, the confetti battle, the Monday night balls, and the intrigues that bring the event to a close; with a few new features, however. To take advantage of the new town centre facilities, the cavalcades will be staged on the Cours Jonville, and the podium will return to the heart of the town to host a concert on Saturday and, of course, the legendary confetti battle.

A Carnival in its own right!

The carnival is taking shape, with redesigned cavalcades, the creation of a prevention village, and the expansion and refurbishment of the Maison du Carnaval so that everyone can enjoy the festival to the full, in complete safety and responsibility.
