Odile Monsigny

Odile arrived as coordinator of the Rejouets association in July 2023. Passionate about social interaction, she wanted to make the boutique in Cérences a place where volunteers, residents and visitors could meet and exchange ideas.

The route

d'Odile

Originally from Picardy, Odile moved to La Lucerne-d’Outremer after falling in love with the area, located between the sea and the countryside, just a few kilometres from Mont-Saint-Michel. Odile is bursting with energy and places great importance on meeting people. A sociologist by profession and creator of a café-tea room with a games area in a lock-up house on the river Somme, Odile joined the Rejouets association as coordinator after some twenty years in the games business.

Toys

Games for young and old at reduced prices

Rejouets has two shops: one in Cérences and one in Bréhal. Rejouets also makes recycled games available in its three toy libraries in Bréhal, Cérences and La Haye-Pesnel.

“At Rejouets, you can buy or drop off games, play in the toy library, volunteer or take part in the entertainment or activities that take place at events. “

Odile shows us around the reception and storage area in Cérences: ” When donations are received, the games are sorted and cleaned, then classified into 3 categories: electronics, books and the rest (e.g. Playmobil, lego, board games, fancy dress, cuddly toys, etc.). They are then prepared and labelled before being sold in the shop (at very low prices). “The ” toy clinic ” also houses incomplete games waiting to be completed. Some of them can also be found in the outdoor donation hut in Cérences, where they are available free of charge 24 hours a day.

An association that promotes

meetings

through the world of gaming

Every year, the association organises and takes part in events for all kinds of audiences. Rejouets has been taking part in the La Ferme en Folie and Festi Récré festivals since their inception, offering workshops for children. In Cérences, the association organised a new edition of the TOUS EN JEU festival in the spring. And in the autumn, on Wednesday 4 December, it is inviting you to take part in a “gratiféria”, where you can drop off games in good condition and/or pick some up free of charge.

In search of

volunteers and donations of toys and games

Odile describes her environment:

“Rejouets is all about fun, laughter and a warm atmosphere. All ages and talents are represented. “.

The association, which works to promote reuse, is looking for volunteers, so if you’d like to get involved with a charity, don’t hesitate to get in touch with Odile at the following e-mail address: coordination@rejouets.com.

Its location

preferred

“I’m hesitating between Saint-Pair-sur-Mer and La Lucerne-d’Outremer, so I’m going to say both. One because it soothes me with its marine environment, and the other because I love living there and I’ve been able to set up my pastry lab project at home.”

Saturdays

exceptional

“This year, we’ll be opening our Cérences boutique on the afternoons of 30 November and 7, 14 and 21 December. It’s a great way to buy gifts at low prices!
