Cathy Renault

Cathy, who has been in charge of Granville’s equestrian club for 15 years, welcomes a wide range of people all year round: experienced riders and beginners, children and adults, residents and holidaymakers. The club offers a range of equestrian disciplines: show jumping, dressage, pony-games, equifun, beach rides and horse therapy. A graduate of the B.E.E.S. Activités Équestres 1er degré and a former show rider, she also breeds ponies and horses. The Club Hippique de Granville is a federated school accredited by the Fédération Française d’Équitation.

For Cathy, ” horse riding is not just a sport, it’s a real school of life. This extremely enriching sport helps young people, in particular, to get to know themselves better and gives them certain keys to facing life. Working alongside this animal, the horse, teaches us to be responsible and independent, to develop self-confidence and to believe in our abilities.

The equestrian centre, ideally located 50 m from the beach at Bréville-sur-Mer, offers riders, even the youngest, from the age of 2, thebaby pony experience, enabling them to explore the dunes and feel the thrill of a gallop on the beach…

      Festivals

      and events

      The Club Hippique has been a loyal supporter of the two festivals organised by the Granville Terre et Mer Tourist Office, Ferme en Folie and Festi’ Récré, for many years.es, the Club Hippique has also been organising the Donville-les-Bains jumping competition for the last 5 years, offering the general public the chance to discover a truly atypical equestrian show in a magnificent natural setting, on the foreshore opposite the anchorages and the Chausey Islands.
