A 32-year-oldGranvillais in love with his hometown, Antoine has never really left it, returning to it completely 3 years ago. After studying civil engineering in Le Havre and a two-year period as an engineer in Flamanville, he decided to change everything and go back to school as a cabinetmaker. After obtaining his CAP, he landed a job as a joiner at Tournabois in Villedieu-les-Poêles, specializing in kitchen utensils and woodturning. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, and doesn’t hesitate to cover ten kilometers a day. In the three years since he returned to the area, he has enjoyed taking part in events such as the welders’ night and bath outings.
“I’ve never really left Granville – once a Granvillais, always a Granvillais,” he confides.
His favorite spot remains the Pointe du Roc in Granville.
“And under the lighthouse, in the off-season, between two showers (laughs), because you have to be ready for a shower to shoot the luminous sky that will arrive just afterwards.
As a lifelong carnival-goer who has been on a float since 2003, Carnival is his favorite time of year. In his opinion, it’s a great school where people help each other out. He loves it when the hangar doors open and the float is unveiled for the first time. He’s always impressed when he rides on the Jonville float on Sundays.
