For Céline,Granville is a return to her roots. Originally from the Orne region, she used to come to Destination Granville Terre et Mer on weekends and vacations until she was 20. Then she went off to explore the world, from Florida to Costa Rica and Mexico, before returning to Normandy in the autumn of 2022. Her studies in Tourism, particularly in Business Tourism Management, enabled her to travel and work abroad.

“Granville is a good compromise for the plural personality that I am,” she confides.

Her various professional experiences abroad, such as in France, the French Pavilion at Walt Disney World in Orlando, the incoming agency in Costa Rica, Les Maisons du Voyage in Paris and from Mexico, and the French Pavilion at Walt Disney World in Orlando, the incoming agency in Costa Rica, Les Maisons du Voyage in Paris and from Mexico, the French Pavilion at Walt Disney World in Orlando. Paris and Mexico, and setting up a group seminar service at the Cité Internationale Universitaire in Paris, have enabled her to acquire adaptability, good interpersonal skills and trilingualism.

I’ve been to 29 countries, and yet there’s not one I’d rather stay in than here.

For her, Granville is a source of inspiration and well-being. Her favorite spot in the area is the Promenade Charles VII in the Haute Ville, overlooking Donville-les-Bains, the Plat Gousset and the greenery on the cliffs. She enjoys writing poetry and contemplation.

“I even have my own little bench sheltered from the wind with a view of Chausey,” she adds.

The high tides are her favorite time of year, which she experiences several times a year.

“On a high tide weekend, the show is guaranteed. There are a number of free pleasures: watching the raging sea at Plat-Gousset, walking on the foreshore when the wind has died down. There’s something mystical about watching the sea recede so far, and especially the speed with which it rises again. It’s unique and part of our DNA, something we should be proud of.

Confidence

“When I work in Granville, I usually go for a walk at the end of the day, and when I get home I feel like I haven’t worked all day – that’s the magic of Granville and the seaside. “

Become an Ambassador

Being an ambassador is an obvious choice for her, as it’s part of her personality to share and promote her region, and to bring the extraordinary into the ordinary.

“And if someone tells me that they want to come here because of my photos, that’s a real gift for me.

If you drop by Chez Selene in Granville in the early evening, you’re sure to come across Céline, in this cosy spot where you can enjoy delicious clean wines and gourmet snacks in a warm, feel-good atmosphere.
