Léa is originally from St Lô. With a Master’s degree in book and publishing from Caen, her love affair with photography and digital creation quickly drew her in. After graduating, she took a year off to think about her projects, including a long backpacking trip to Mexico. This adventure gave rise to her first photo exhibition on the country that had so inspired her. This was followed by a second Master’s degree in web communications in Poitiers. Today, she is a web copywriter and community manager in the tourism industry, and has also set up her own micro-enterprise as a photographer. After experiences in Caen, Poitiers, Paris and Rennes, it was essential for her to return to La Manche. She loves coming to the area and teleworking, so she can shoot and enjoy the local atmosphere. For her, Granville has that warm, confidential feel, with its artists’ galleries and its mythical bar, “La Rafale”, on Place Cambernon. A gourmet, it’s also a favorite place where she unearths good gourmet addresses. When she’s not behind the camera, she enjoys running, reading and drinking lots of tea. Her favorite spot is the Grève du Nord beach, which can be reached directly from the old town. She loves the idea of having a wild beach with large rocks and turquoise water in the heart of the city. And then there’s the havre de la Vanlée, and the plage des Salines with its unspoilt dunes and orangey end-of-day sunshine. Her favorite moment is the golden hour and sunset, without any hesitation. She loves to play with shadows and reflections.
“If you go for a walk on the Grève du Nord beach in Granville, you have a chance of bumping into me,” confides Léa.
