Native of Avranches and based in Jullouville for over 30 years, Laurent wears many hats: director of the Jullouville leisure centre, sports coach and founder of Sports Nature de la Baie. Laurent shares his dynamism and his taste for physical activities with all audiences.

Img 2104Director/leader at the children’s leisure centre for many years in Jullouville and a trained sports coach, Laurent set up Sports Nature de la Baie in 2023 with the aim of offering innovative physical activities to a wide audience. Laurent wanted to showcase the beauty and diversity of the Bay on foot with an original twist: the idea for the lanterns was instantaneous. After carrying out a number of tests, finding the right candles and creating a route that included a stop on the heights of Bouillon to admire the paintings, Laurent took the plunge. He loves to share his little anecdotes with participants. Laurent has no shortage of ideas. To diversify his hikes, he works with relaxation therapists and meditation teachers. Hiking in nature and these practices fit together perfectly, giving another dimension to the walks that participants learn particularly well from. In addition to randonnonnées à the lantern,« Sports Nature en Baie » also offers randonnonnées with dynamic bâtons, the « BungyPump ». Different from Nordic walking, these bâtons are equipped with 20 cm suspensions that allow walkers to propel themselves forward.
Laurent is a keen trail runner, which he does not only on the paths of Granville Terre et Mer. He likes to set himself sporting challenges. Last year, he crossed the finish line of the Marathon du Mont-Blanc

This year, he is tackling theGrand Raid du Mont Ventoux by UTMB® on Saturday 26 April 2025: a personal investment, rigorous training, a difficult effort, but so worth it when you get to the end.
