I'm boarding

towards the horizon

Rendezvous at pontoon G18 in the marina to board the Mangrove, a “Gib’sea” sailboat, and meet Franck, your professional skipper. Travel time to the archipelago averages 2 to 2.5 hours. Departing from the port of Granville, you set sail for the Bay of Mont-Saint-Michel and then Chausey. Depending on the water level at low tide, Franck chooses an unusual anchorage in the archipelago. When the water is still, the anchorage is often at Aneret, and when the water is swift, near the Roche des Caniards du Sud, a large white sand bank.

Iodized air,

it digs!

After dropping anchor, it’s time for a break. Franck then prepares the gourmet stopover, a voyage of smells and flavors with :

  • oysters or mussels served with white wine,
  • fish soup,
  • rillettes of scallops plucked from the sand,
  • thirst-quenching Norman cider,
  • camembert made with good raw milk
  • and teurgoule, the region’s emblematic dessert with rice cooked for two hours.

This gourmet stopover is ready to satisfy the most demanding palates in an exceptional setting! Enjoy the unusual view of the Chausey archipelago, while savoring the sounds, smells and tastes.

Then place

discovering...

After lunch, you disembark for around 2 hours on the islet, where Franck explains the flora and fauna, as well as the granite of Chausey. Then it’s back to Granville, sailing whenever possible depending on weather conditions. Franck takes the opportunity to teach you some nautical jargon and get you involved in the maneuvers. You’ll be amazed at how easy it is to navigate! When you return, you’ll remember the day’s sailing for the wonder of the site and the joy of sharing moments with family and friends, in complete simplicity.
