Granville Terre et Mer launches version 2 of the news whisperers

In 2022, Granville Terre et Mer broke new ground with the launch of “Chuchoteur d’infos”, a first-of-its-kind platform in France dedicated to welcoming visitors to the Destination. Designed for shopkeepers, tourism professionals and local residents alike, it enabled everyone to share local information, promote the region’s offerings and enhance the visitor experience. Three years on, the platform now boasts 281 Chuchoteurs d’infos, 68 of which have been awarded three-star status: tangible proof of the strong commitment to hospitality “made in Granville Terre et Mer”. In order to modernise the tool, update the content and respond even better to the expectations of its users, a complete overhaul of the platform has been carried out in collaboration with students from the ENSAAMA design school in Paris. Version 2 will go online on Wednesday 3 September 2025. To mark the occasion, the students will be presenting their work on 13 and 14 September at Le Plat Gousset in Granville.

Chuchoteur d’infos: a platform to promote hospitality

Founded in 2022 by the Tourist Office, the “Chuchoteurs d’infos” platform was designed to enable visitors to benefit from informed advice, wherever they are in the Destination. Conceived as a collaborative tool, it is based on a strong conviction: every local resident, shopkeeper or service provider can become a chuchoteur, in other words a passionate and committed conduit of information in the service of local tourism. The platform offers a series of over 120 questions divided into 4 units. It enables users to deepen their knowledge of the region, develop their expertise in local tourism and perfect their sense of welcome. Once they have obtained certification, whisperers can be identified by a sticker in their shop window and a diploma. The first version contributed to the emergence of a network of people involved in hospitality in the region. In order to maintain this momentum, a complete overhaul of the user experience and content was required.

ENSAAMA, a student collaboration at the service of Chuchoteur d’infos

As part of their study project, four students from ENSAAMA were asked to rethink the platform’s customer journey and revitalise the Whisperer network. The students worked with certified Whisperers to understand their expectations and needs, in particular to encourage interaction between Whisperers and strengthen the feeling of belonging to the network. As for the content, all the videos have been reworked to meet the current challenges facing tourism in the region, particularly in terms of sustainable development. On 13 and 14 September, the students will be exhibiting their work and the ideas they have developed on the customer journey and the revitalisation of the Chuchoteur d’infos network in the Plat Gousset hall in Granville.

V2 of the Info Whisperers: an enhanced version for a better welcome

Version 2 of the platform, available from September 3, is based around 4 units containing over 120 questions:

    • Unit 1: getting to know Destination Granville Terre et Mer
    • Unit 2: good reception practices
    • Unit 3: being a responsible tourist
    • Unit 4: being a real whisperer

Each module has been reworked and enriched with new content. The Destination’s brand code is presented, as well as concrete sustainable tourism actions and the process for becoming an expert ambassador for the region. These units are supplemented by documentary resources from the various players in the area (the SMPGA for water, the waste department, the AVRIL association for the preservation of the foreshore, etc.), enabling users to expand their knowledge. The content is now updated regularly to keep pace with changes in the tourism offering, sustainable tourism issues and visitor expectations.

With V2, Chuchoteur d’infos becomes a genuine local learning platform, a dynamic and committed network at the service of the region.
