In September, Granville Terre et Mer celebrates creativity

Open studios - National Artists' Days

13 and 14 September 2025

Sponsored by Rachida Dati, the French Minister of Culture, and organised in partnership with the Association des maires de France and the Maison des artistes, the Journées Nationales des Artistes invite artists to open the doors of their studios, exhibit their work and encourage encounters around sculpture, painting and ceramics. In Granville Terre et Mer, art galleries and workshops are springing up all along the streets. Some of them will be opening their doors to the public for this event.

Design utile, design vivant: creativity in action at the Destination during France Design Week

12 to 30 September 2025

France Design Week showcasesdesign, its expertise and its players through exhibitions, conferences, visits and workshops. The aim is to raise the profile of design locally, nationally and internationally. This year, the theme is “useful design”, and designers will be creating, sharing their approach and introducing the public to it in workshops and tours. In Granville Terre et Mer, design will be expressed through ceramics, fashion, crafts and culinary design, revealing an area where creativity meets history, know-how, innovation and transmission. At the Plat Gousset, the ENSAAMA school will be presenting innovative projects designed in collaboration with local professionals to meet the challenges of inclusion.

Heritage unveiled: special tours of Granville Terre et Mer during the European Heritage Days

19, 20 and 21 September 2025

The annual event to discover the architectural and historical secrets of the local heritage. Every year, on the occasion of the European Heritage Days, Granville Terre et Mer opens the doors of its emblematic sites: the Oratoire Saint-Gaud, the Château de Chanteloup, the SNCF technical centre and many other places usually closed to the public. An invitation to (re)discover the richness of the region through guided tours, exhibitions and events.
