Nature is awakening at Destination Granville Terre et Mer, the ideal time to finally put your nose outside and experience the rhythm of Europe’s highest tides. From watercolour painting on the Chausey archipelago to discovering the Havre de la Vanlée andresponsible fishing on foot, the sea can be experienced to the full. Here, locals and visitors alike can take advantage of the longer days to stroll with the family through the aromatic garden at Château de Chanteloup. And to keep things varied, the Festi Récré Festival offers more than 300 workshops across the Destination, accessible by bike at a low-carbon rate.

Found in the havre de la Vanlée, sea rocket (Cakile maritima), sometimes known as mouse's teat, caquilier or maritime cakilier, is an annual herbaceous edible plant that grows in a salty environment, generally on sandy seaside soils, rich in salt brought by sea spray and tides, and with a high content of nitrogenous mineral derivatives (ammoniacal salts, nitrates) due to the sea leash.
