As part of the Sustainable Tourism Fund of the France Recovery Plan, the DGE and ADEME launched a call for projects on the 3rd component, concerning Slow Tourism.

    Who was eligible?

    Any tourism operator whose project is in line with at least one of the Slow Tourism pillars and is located in a town with fewer than 20,000 inhabitants.

    4 axes
    • Experience: giving visitors an experience, making them a part of their stay,
    • Time: taking time, taking time for well-being,
    • Gentle mobility: in transit and on site – soft itinerances, collective transport,
    • The protection and reasoned enhancement of heritage: environmental awareness, use of short circuits, environmentally-friendly use.
    What were the benefits?

    Financial assistance of between €20,000 (minimum) and €200,000 (maximum)

    Financial assistance of up to 70% of total project costs

    2 types of support financed depending on the nature of the project

    Diagnostic, advisory and engineering support

    Engineering, facilitation and implementation support
