Composting

As part of the anti-waste law, by January 1, 2024, local authorities will study and identify the most relevant solutions for sorting food waste at source to ensure that it can be recovered and not landfilled.

As such, Granville Terre et Mer is already experimenting with collective composting on the territory.

The national event "Tous au compost

As part of the 10th national local composting fortnight from March 25 to April 9, 2023, the waste department of the Communauté de communes Granville Terre & Mer is offering:

  • Tuesday, March 28: awareness-raising stand on the theme of composting, at the Bréhal market from 9am to 12pm
  • Saturday, April 1: awareness-raising stand on the theme of composting, at the Granville market from 9am to 12pm

But also:

  • Friday March 17: distribution of compost and sale of composters, at the Bréhal waste collection center from 9am to 12pm
  • Saturday March 18: distribution of compost and sale of composters, at the Granville waste collection center from 9am to 12pm and from 2pm to 5pm
  • Saturday April 15: inauguration of the shared composting site at Donville-les-Bains from 10am to 12pm. Afternoon “composting animation” at the shared composting site in the Saint-Nicolas district from 2 to 3:30 pm.
