Saint-Pair Vivum is organizing a guided tour of the Saint-Gaud Oratory with Marie-Christine Saint-Hilaire.
During this tour, Marie-Christine will talk about this small religious building dating from the 13th century. "According to tradition, it was built on the site of Saint-Gaud?s cell. It has been altered several times, notably during the 17th century.
Inside, you can admire the polychrome wooden statue of Saint-Gaud, dating from the late 14th and early 15th centuries. The statue was listed as a historical monument in 2012. It is certainly one of the oldest wooden statues in La Manche.
