Emmanuel Di Céglie uses Indian ink, oils and acrylics, on canvas as well as wood, and the city is a favorite source of inspiration. Urban landscapes are his favorite settings for graceful, elegant characters. Caricature and movement are an integral part of his paintings.
His works evoke scenes of everyday life, with spindly figures walking down the street, reading the newspaper or riding their bicycles. Other works depict intimate scenes in which women are portrayed as fulfilled and generous.
