As part of the Journées nationales des artistes (JNA), the painter-inker Darius will be presenting his work at the mediatheque from 10am to 12:30pm, then opening his studio to the public from 2pm to 6pm.
His chance encounters with Japan led the Norman artist to experiment with ink, paper and the tools he has constantly invented to explore this prodigiously rich universe. His work combines his taste for drawing, a particular sense of experimentation, and a natural sensitivity to light, all in a physical relationship (gesture and breathing) with the support and materials he uses.
