As part of the Fête de la science, taking place from October 3 to 13, 2025, come and chat with Camille Cagnot, a PhD student in animal ethology, specializing in the emotions and well-being of assistance dogs.
Assistance dogs are specially trained to accompany and support victims, often minors, during legal proceedings.
Both emotional and psychological support, their presence helps reduce stress and promotes a climate of trust that can make it easier for the victim to speak out. But how do they feel?
Camille Cagnot, a doctoral student at the Animal and Human Ethology Laboratory (EthoS), takes an interest in these assistance animals to better understand the impact of their mission on their own emotions.
