To mark the 50th anniversary of the Conservatoire du Littoral, Chausey?s coast guards are offering a series of events throughout the summer of 2025 (lectures, workshops and a live show) linked to the management, animation and preservation of the archipelago.
L'ec[H]o de l'archipel is a live, touring show on the Grande île de Chausey.
At the crossroads of time, on the only road to the Grande île de Chausey, two figures meet: a 19th-century naturalist, a fervent defender of nature and witness to the building of the fort in 1866, and a visitor from the future, a curious explorer of the past who has come to understand the roots of a vanished natural world.
In a theatrical dialogue, they evoke the history of the archipelago: from quarrymen cutting stone, to seaweed farmers exploiting the sea, to today?s tourists.
Between historical anecdotes, poetic evocations and slapstick moments, the show asks: Why and how should we preserve our natural and built heritage? What memory should we pass on? At what cost and for what future?
Carried along by dynamic scenes in the course of a wander, scenettes and interactions with the audience, L'Éc[H]o de l'Archipel celebrates 50 years, 30 of them on Chausey, of commitment by the Conservatoire du Littoral et des Rivages Lacustres to a living territory, between past, present and future.
Duration: approx. 1 hour.
Reservations by e-mail, telephone or here: https://my.weezevent.com/lecho-de-larchipel-spectacle-vivant
The show is free and open to all, subject to availability.
The Granville-Chausey crossing is not included: please contact the Jolie France company to book your crossing.
