Christian Dior
In search of the colours of childhoodHoused within Villa Les Rhumbs, the family home where the fashion designer grew up, this exhibition immerses visitors in Christian Dior’s early years.
Through nearly 250 works and objects – dresses, photographs, perfumes, paintings, archives and iconic creations – the exhibition traces the memories that shaped his creative world and inspired the codes of the House of Dior.
Spread over three floors, the exhibition highlights the many influences of his childhood in Granville. The gardens of Villa Les Rhumbs, the seascapes, the colours of the Normandy coast, the casino parties and the balls of the Belle Époque combine to create a true journey into the world of the young Christian Dior.
