Meet Victoire

equithérapeute in Champeaux

Victoire started riding when she was very young, at the Kairon riding school, where she used to ride as a child. She wanted to have her own horses. After completing a degree in psychology at the University of Paris-Descartes and a number of work placements, Victoire turned to equestrianism as a way of combining her professional ambitions with her passion for horses. After training at IFEQ (Institution de Formation en Equithérapie) in Paris, Victoire spent a few years working between Normandy and Paris before finally settling in Champeaux.

I wanted to be outside, to move around. Here, the horses have great living conditions.

What is a

equitherapy?

L’équithérapie  is a care method aimed at everyone: children, teenagers, adults, families… presenting psychological difficulties, even temporary and/or who find themselves in a situation of motor, mental or psychosocial disability. As a therapeutic partner, the horse plays a central role in the overall care of people.

Equitherapy

is complementary

Ecutectic therapy complements other therapeutic approaches. Victoire offers sessions and workshops in collaboration with other professionals in the area (speech therapist, relaxation therapist, yoga teacher). She is not afraid to go into old people’s homes, hospitals or schools with her pony, Roquette. The presence of the horse makes it easier to make changes, it doesn’t judge. It provides a different, soothing and caring environment, allowing us to be in the moment. The horse creates a bond with the person and helps them to work through various difficulties, such as learning to set limits, improving motor skills, gaining self-confidence and managing emotions. The horse lives in the moment, accompanying people to focus on the here and now.

Diversity

at the heart of its business

Victoire, is always surprised by the finesse of horses, the strong bonds they create with patients and the émotions felt. The creativity and range of possibilities offered by sessions with horses are endless.

Her favourite places

for a walk

Whether it’s the Vallée du Lude in spring or the Abbaye de la Lucerne, each place has its own charm. Victoire particularly likes the paths of Saint-Michel-Des-Loups for galloping. For a breathtaking view of Mont-Saint-Michel, she ventures onto the beaches of Saint-Jean-Le-Thomas, which runs alongside the cliffs of Champeaux.
