Bring comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing and footwear, a light backpack and a bottle of water.

An immersion

in a soothing setting

Mid-morning or mid-afternoon appointment with Aimie, sophrologist, on the outskirts of the Lucerne forest. You’ll get to know each other, then Aimie will introduce you to theLucerne Abbey, which you’ll see, founded in the 12th century and passionately restored over 50 years ago. You then prepare for relaxation and walking, with breathing exercises guided by Aimie’s gentle voice. You then begin conscious walking, which consists of walking slowly, without blocking your steps, while becoming fully aware of your movement, through your muscles, your joints, the sensations of the soles of your feet… And yes, you do have a body! You’ll rediscover the balance lost in the rush of our daily movements, and learn to take your time.

to better appreciate the environment

You enter deeper into the Lucerne forest. Still guided by Aimie’s words, you practice a walk synchronized to your breathing, allowing your mind to calm down and giving you the sensation of really breathing. You open up to your surroundings, concentrating on your 5 senses: birdsong, the wind in the trees, the sound of running water, the forest’s shades of green and brown and all its fragrances: It’s the perfect way to appreciate the beauty of nature and live in the moment. Even if you’ve been here before, you’ll discover little details you may not have noticed before!

Body awareness

and active listening to your sensations

You stop for a few minutes of meditation, then continue your walk to Aimie’s soothing intonations. Then, on a soft carpet of leaves on the banks of the little river, you settle down for a break, either sitting or lying down. You close your eyes and, with Aimie’s guidance, you relax each part of your body, one after the other. Then, little by little, you become aware of your body in thepresent moment, and feel what nature has to offer by mobilizing your other senses, still with your eyes closed. You may even give in to the temptation to plunge into the arms of Morpheus!

Share

Finally, you share these sensationswith each other and, if you wish, cross the Thar in bare feet to experience the touch of pebbles, water and logs. You then return to your starting point, chatting with Aimie, who will tell you about her other sophro’balades on offer or other nuggets to discover in Destination Granville Terre et Mer. You then return home, promising to take more time during your walks, which you can discover or rediscover here.
