La Route des Chiffonniers

La Route des Chiffonniers

Enjoy the incredible experience of roaming between coast and countryside

Destination Granville Terre et Mer, in the heart of the Bay of Mont-Saint-Michel, is a veritable network of major hiking and horse-riding trails, criss-crossing paths, villages and coastlines.

THE RAGPICKERS' ROUTE

to roam with pack donkeys

The Route des Chiffonniers is a hiking route that can be explored with pack donkeys: a discovery of the inland areas of the Bay of Mont-Saint-Michel! It links the coastline from Saint-Pair sur Mer to the Sée valley. It brings back to life the routes used by ragpickers to transport sail and fabric scraps from the ports to the mills in the Sée valley, where they were transformed into paper.
