June, the month of green rays and lantern-lit walks

After the last ‘green’ glow of the sun on the sea, which is particularly visible at this time of year, the lantern-lit walks take over. As the days lengthen, there are more reasons to enjoy a drink on a terrace or with your feet in the sand in one of the many straw huts dotted along the 42km of coastline. Once night has fallen, you can discover the Destination on a lantern-lit walk with Laurent. From the Jullouville dyke to the Bouillon plateau, he accompanies visitors on a 5km walk in the dark, punctuated by the beam of the lantern and the sounds of nature.

Sea air and a taste of the sea: time for flora and fauna

Filling your lungs with the goodness of nature is enhanced tenfold on this spring day.

Mikael Hardy, a guide driven by this richness, will be delighted to pass on the rhythm. From the use of various local wild plants to protecting the nesting grounds of the Ring-necked Plover, his themed outings will transport you to the songs of the sea and the land: clam digging, finger and eye fishing, walks to discover wild, edible and common plants, raising awareness of the nesting of the red-collared plover. These outings for the general public, involving around 10 people, are the natural escapes we’re looking forward to this June.

Flavours and expertise in the palm of your hand

Before the hectic pace of summer arrives, Saveurs et Créateurs is offering a small group of visitors the chance to go behind the scenes of local craftsmanship and meet the creators who are opening the doors to their world. This discovery combines know-how and gourmet pleasures, with local products prepared by restaurateurs, producers and patissiers. Accompanied by tour guide Dominic, the tour begins at Romy’s workshop with an introduction to tufting, followed by a salmon tasting at the Saumonerie. It continues with a pottery discovery with Clémentine, in the Rue des Juifs, famous for its art galleries. It continues with a jewellery design at Helloco, before concluding with a chocolate tasting at Yver. The loop can be completed at the pace of these enthusiasts, by bike or by bus.
