The Upper Town and its ramparts

From the Hundred Years’ War through the French Revolution to the present day, the Haute Ville reveals its secrets. Take a stroll through the cobbled streets of the old town, and you’re sure to enjoy breathtaking panoramas! Stroll along the ramparts, cross the square in front of the Eglise Notre-Dame du Cap Lihou and discover thehistory of Granville’s Upper Town.

Polo, tell me about the fishing port!

For children aged 6 to 11

Polo the whelk takes you on a tour of Granville’s fishing port. Polo tells you the story of fishing, past and present. Thanks to the many clues he’ll give you, you’ll be able to fill in the little booklet provided. Keep your eyes open and your ears open so you don’t miss a thing! You’ll leave with your own booklet, so you can repeat the tour with friends or family.

Donville awakes

Guided tour of Donville-les-Bains

A majorseaside town in the Destination, Donville-les-Bains is renowned for the quality of its beaches and the beauty of its villas. It’s also a small town with a much longer history. After a light snack offered by the Tourist Office, you’ll set off to discover the origins of Donville, and learn how this small coastal village gradually became a majorfishing town. It’s also an opportunity to discover the modest beginnings of sea-bathing in the area, a practice that later spread and democratized to the whole of France.

Le Havre de la Vanlée is a unique natural site in the Destination. Accompanied by your guide, you’ll discover its environment and the richness and fragility of its ecosystem. You’ll also learn more about man’s place in this wild place, and the influence of human activities on the natural evolution of the site.
