The bocage

offers itself to you

with Caporal and Andrea

You have an appointment at Andrea’s Cavalerie, located in saint-Pair-sur-Mer. Andrea, the manager, will show you around and introduce you to Caporal, her 12-year-old Cob Normand. Don’t look for him in a stall: Caporal, like Andrea’s other horses, lives on grass in the fields all year round! With Andrea’s help and advice, you harness Caporal to the carriage. Through the country lanes of Kairon and Jullouville, you’ll get to know Andrea, your driver. You’ll discover her passion forcarriage driving, horses and Destination. You’ll also learn all about Caporal’s history, as he calmly and concentratedly leads you along, to the sounds ofbirds and other farmanimals. The carriage lulls you to sleep, but you’re soon awakened when Caporal, obedient to Andrea, starts trotting. From the heights of the valleys, you admire the view of the sea.

A taste break

Land and Sea

Lunchtime arrives and the hunger starts to set in! You arrive on the heights of Carolles, at La Croix Paqueray. You contemplate the panorama of Granville Bay, which in its immensity reveals its palette of colors. Caporal, who has also earned his break, is untied by you and Andrea. Then he goes for a drink and a quiet graze, while the picnic, fully supplied, is revealed to you: market produce, seafood, seasonal vegetables… A convivial moment to sharetogether!

Caporal will take you

Sea side

Full and refreshed, head for Carolles beach via the Vallée des Peintres, which, depending on the season, plunges you into shades of green or brown, among its lush vegetation. Once you’ve reached the beach, tide permitting, Caporal can even wade into the waves and splash you with a few invigorating droplets! You can smell the iodizedsea air as you watch Caporal enjoy this moment offreshness. You walk along the beach to Kairon, admiring the seaside villas. In the distance, you’ll greet the strollers who’ve come for a breath of fresh air, or for the more adventurous, to take a dip. At the end of your escapade, you disembark Caporal. If you wish, you can stay on to help with the daily care of the horses, offering your assistance with showering, grooming and, of course, feeding! Caporal returns to his companions. You’ll leave with a wealth of knowledge about the Cob Normand and theequine world. All this while having discovered the many facets of the Destination, both on land and at sea! All in the midst of nature, in communion with the horse and friendly, caring human interaction
